Night Instructor Course
Another restriction when you first begin your instructing career is the fact that you cannot teach at night. It is possible to remove this restriction whilst training for your initial instructor rating. The night qualification is an extremely enjoyable course to undertake for most PPL pilots and as such is enjoyable to teach. To upgrade and be able to teach a night rating is a simple course which can be completed with us at Flight Academy using the fantastic night facilities offered at our base at Wolverhampton Airport.
What are the experience and training requirements?
Pre entry requirements are for the applicant to hold at least the qualification for which you are to instruct. (I.E. a valid qualification to act as pilot in command at night) There are no minimum instructor experience or rating requirements and the training can be completed whilst training for your initial instructor rating if you wish.
The course consists of 1 hour of flying and 2 hours of groundschool training. There are no additional test requirements although the CAA Chief Flight Examiner recommends that additional night navigation training should be included in the flying syllabus.
